Getting Dental with Brush Baby!

If there’s one thing we really struggle to do, it’s stopping the kids away from eating too much sugar. Even if we never had a single sweet treat in the whole house and deluged them with carrots and cucumber sticks, they’d find a way somehow. Luckily, we manage to combat their ambitious sugar intake by making sure they always look after their teeth (they’re pretty active kids too). So we were totally delighted to receive a box of goodies from Brush Baby (www.brushbaby.co.uk)

Brush Baby was started by a mum, Dominique Tillen, who wanted to help kids look after their teeth by making it fun and interesting. Brush-Baby’s range of products are especially designed for babies, toddlers and young children and it takes into account their tooth development, habits and brushing skills. We have a range of ages and abilities in our house so I was keen to see how everyone would get on. Check out the video below.

I think Brush Baby’s products are great. They’re dedicated to holding the attention and imagination of the kids while they brush their teeth. Not only does this mean they’ll brush their teeth more often but they’ll also hang around longer when they’re brushing to get the job done properly.

In the days since we first tried out our new disco toothbrushes, it seems to have really engaged the younger of our two. Claudia and Morgan have been making multiple trips at random points during the day to go do their teeth. Every time they use the bathroom is, to Claudia, another opportunity for a quick brush. It’s at the point now where we’ve had to explain that 3 times a day is probably enough overall.

Take a look at our photos below of the kids enjoying their new disco toothbrushes.

Totally! This was a great one to get the kids excited about something we wanted them to do. They’re still using their charts and stickers!
